• Set out secondary dimensional work controls by interpreting drawings, using measuring instruments, transferring lines and levels, and ensuring accuracy to specification

• Install road drainage and domestic drainage systems including pipes, fittings, manholes, inspection chambers, testing systems, and ensuring compliance with gradients and alignments

• Lay kerbs, channels and modular pavement to specification including ground preparation, material selection, bedding techniques, compaction and finishing

• Form, place and finish concrete structures including mixing to specification, placement by various methods, vibration, compaction and curing

• Excavate holes and trenches safely whilst avoiding underground services, installing temporary supports, and ensuring proper access and egress arrangements

• Prepare and operate construction machinery including dumpers, rollers and compaction equipment with pre-operational checks and compliance with manufacturer guidelines

• Arrange, secure, sling and signal the movement of loads using appropriate lifting accessories, weight distribution techniques, and communication signals

• Install street ironwork, provide excavation support, search for underground services, and sign, light and guard work areas
