Course Requirements

Learners should have an appropriate background, communication ability, and professional readiness to study safeguarding adults and deliver training in sensitive adult protection contexts.

  • Learners should be 16 years or older, with English proficiency and preferably a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject such as health and social care, education, social work, or a related discipline

  • Prior experience in adult safeguarding or related roles such as healthcare worker, social care assistant, community support worker, or safeguarding officer is highly desirable

Assessments

Assessment is conducted through an Approved Training Centre and is designed to evaluate learners’ understanding of adult safeguarding concepts and their ability to apply course content in practical situations.

  • Mandatory assessment through Approved Training Centres

  • 100 multiple-choice questions

  • Application-based assessment of safeguarding concepts in practical situations

  • Minimum score of 75% required to pass

Progression
