This includes those working in care. It is particularly suitable for those owning or managing a small catering business. Particularly relevant for those who have to develop or monitor HACCP-based food safety management procedures and systems.

How long will it take?

Delivery would typically be through a 3-days training course (24 hours).

Certificate validity

The Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision for Catering is valid for a period of three years.

This qualification is assessed by MultiChoice Questions (MCQ) and practical demonstration. To be awarded this qualification, the Learner must achieve a percentage pass in the MCQ paper.

The assessment consists of a multiple choice paper and a practical demonstration, with both elements required to be completed in order to be awarded the qualification.

The Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision for Catering is valid for a period of three years.

On successful completion, learners can progress onto other AOSH UK qualifications such as Level 4 Award in Food Safety Supervision for Catering or Food Safety Management for Manufacturing.

There are no prerequisites for taking this qualification, however learners must be 16 years of age or above to enrol on the course.
