Course Requirements
Entry to the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management is based on academic qualifications and/or relevant professional experience, as defined by OTHM's official entry requirements.
Possession of a relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 5 diploma or an equivalent recognised qualification
Mature learners (over 21) with relevant management experience may be considered — learners must check with the delivery centre prior to registering
Learners must be 18 years of age or older at the beginning of the course
Learners from non-majority English-speaking countries must provide evidence of English language competency (minimum IELTS 5.5 in all components, or equivalent at CEFR Level B2)
Assessments
All units within the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management are assessed internally by the approved centre and externally verified by OTHM. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all specified learning outcomes.
Written assignments — the primary method of assessment for all six units; learners must demonstrate fulfilment of all learning outcomes for each unit
Internal assessment by centre assessors — assessors make judgements against specified assessment criteria and maintain an audit trail of learner achievement
External verification by OTHM — all internally assessed work is subject to external verification by OTHM to ensure consistency and standards
