Course Requirements

There are no formal academic entry requirements for this qualification. ProQual-approved centres are required to carry out an initial assessment of each candidate's existing skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and inform the individual assessment plan.

  • Candidates must be aged 19 years or older on the date of registration

  • A relevant Level 6 qualification (e.g., a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline) or significant professional experience in civil engineering is strongly recommended to ensure readiness for Level 7 content

Assessments

Each candidate must produce a portfolio of evidence demonstrating achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria across every unit. Assessment decisions are made by occupationally competent centre assessors, with all portfolios internally verified by the centre and externally verified by ProQual verifiers. The overall result is awarded on a Pass / Fail basis.

  • Written assignments, projects, and reports addressing knowledge-based assessment criteria

  • Professional discussions recorded by the assessor as evidence of candidate understanding
