What is IADC Rig Pass?
IADC Rig Pass is a standardized safety orientation program for all oil and gas operations, whether onshore or offshore, that is independently audited and accredited. Employers can be confident that an individual who has completed an accredited IADC RIG PASS or IADC RIG PASS program has met basic safety orientation requirements defined by drilling-industry safety and training professionals.
The key objective of IADC HSE Rig Pass program is to provide employees with a basic orientation of rig operations and safe work practices. Ideally, this should occur before the employee begins work at the rig. However, due to various logistical conditions in the drilling industry, this will not always be possible.
The ultimate goal of this program is to improve the safety performance of the Contractors and the Exploration and Production Operators and to assist both in satisfying federal, state and industry regulations and recommended practice
This course is fully accredited by the IADC. Course duration is 4 days. Training provides rig crews with a baseline of knowledge to demonstrate that all employees are familiar with legislative and industry standards on all aspects of safety.
