Course Requirements

There are no formal academic entry requirements for this qualification. However, ProQual specifies that centres must carry out an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and plan assessment accordingly.

  • Candidates must be aged 19 or over

  • Candidates must be working in or have access to a health and safety management or strategic leadership role where workplace evidence can be generated and observed

  • A relevant Level 6 qualification in occupational health and safety or strategic management, or equivalent professional experience, is strongly recommended

Assessments

This qualification is fully competence-based. Candidates must demonstrate the level of competence described in each unit by producing a portfolio of evidence. There are no written examinations. The qualification is internally assessed and verified by centre staff, and externally quality assured by ProQual verifiers. Grading is Pass or Fail.

  • Assignments, projects, and written reports demonstrating strategic application of knowledge
