Course Requirements
There are no mandatory formal entry requirements for the SafQual Level 3 Award in Health and Safety; however, a recommended level of prior learning and literacy is advised to help learners fully benefit from the qualification.
Learners must be at least 16 years of age on the first day of training
It is recommended that learners already hold a Level 2 Award in Health and Safety or equivalent, and have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy or equivalent
Assessments
Assessment for the SafQual Level 3 Award in Health and Safety is conducted under examination conditions and uses externally set, internally marked tools to ensure learners meet the required knowledge and understanding as specified in the learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
Theory assessment via a multiple-choice question paper completed under supervised examination conditions
All questions must be answered by each learner within the allocated assessment period
Assessment papers are set by SafQual and administered by approved centres
Learners who do not meet the pass standard are referred and may resit the assessment
