Course Requirements
Learners must meet at least one of the following entry requirements and demonstrate competency in literacy, language, numeracy, and ICT. Learners not from a majority English-speaking country must provide evidence of English language competency.
Hold a relevant Level 3 Diploma qualification or equivalent, GCE Advanced level in 2 subjects or equivalent, or be a mature learner over 21 with relevant management experience
Must be able to read and communicate clearly, possess minimum core skills in literacy, numeracy, and ICT, and must not have a criminal background that would prevent working with young people or vulnerable adults
Assessments
All units are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by OTHM. Assessment is criterion-referenced, based on achieving all specified learning outcomes through a portfolio of evidence.
Portfolio of evidence demonstrating achievement of 100% of learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit
Evidence may include assessor observations, witness testimony, worksheets, assignments, projects, reports, and records of professional discussion
Formative assessment provides ongoing developmental feedback throughout the programme
Summative assessment evaluates learner competence at the end of each unit, subject to internal verification and external quality assurance
