Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding

Course Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Learners must work in or have access to an assessment environment where they can demonstrate their competence.

  • Access to at least two learners whose vocational skills, knowledge and understanding can be assessed

  • English language competency (evidence required for non-native English speakers)

Assessments

All units are internally assessed by the approved centre and externally verified by OTHM. Assessment is criterion-referenced based on achievement of all specified learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

  • Coursework assignments (approximately 3500 words for Unit 1)

  • Portfolio of evidence including reflective accounts (approximately 3000 words for Unit 2)

  • Observation of assessment practice by qualified assessors

  • Work products such as assessment plans, feedback records and sign-off documentation

Progression

Successful completion of this qualification enables progression to employment as an assessor or advancement to higher-level quality assurance qualifications and roles within education and training.
